Costume Designer

Rabbit Run Theater has an opening for a Costume Designer.

JOB OVERVIEW/DESCRIPTION: The position of costume designer is open for Rabbit Run Theater’s 2022 production of “Titanic, the Musical” running June 24 through July 9.

The costume designer reports to the show’s director and executive director as an independent contractor position. Fee range is commensurate with experience, and is highly competitive based on comparable theatres in the region.

The costume designer is responsible for designing, procuring, building and or renting costumes for “Titanic, the Musical”.  Duties also include developing a costume plot, taking cast measurements and conducting costume fittings.  Appropriate costumes are also required for a pre-show publicity shoot at the discretion of the show’s director and marketing director.  Costume designer must provide for the care, maintenance and cleaning of costumes through the run of the show.

The costume designer is expected to be available during tech week for final alterations and/or costume adjustments.  At the end of the run, the costumer must provide for the removal of the costumes during strike after the final performance on July 9. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Exceptional project management skills • Strong communication skills • Ability to collaborate and be a team player • Proficient technical skills in the following areas:  sewing and alterations •  Experience managing expenses and budgets 

EXPERIENCE:  Preferably 2 years of experience working for a small scale theatre.

Private Music Instructors

RRCAA has private music instructor openings available for the following musical instruments:

Candidates should have experience teaching students with varying levels of experience ranging in age from youth through adult.  

Potential instructors should possess considerable training and experience with their respective discipline as well as two years of teaching experience.  Instructors are expected to provide students with high quality and sound technical training, and maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and with the RRCAA staff.

Instructors must pass local, state, and federal background check at their own expense. 

Fall Session begins Aug. 23.  Most private music lessons are 30 minutes in length.
