DESCRIPTION:The 34th Annual Juried Art Show \n\n\n\n\n\n\nSponsored by RRCAA and the Madison Public Library\nApr. 2 – 29\, 2026\n\nCalling all Visual Artists\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVISUAL ARTISTS–get your art work ready!  RRCAA and the Madison Public Library are once again proud to be co-sponsors of the 34th Annual Juried Art Show.  The Art Show is open to all visual artists in Northeast Ohio.  Any high school or adult artist may submit up to three works in any two-dimensional medium.  Small three-dimensional works may be submitted as well. \nApplications and fees will be accepted at RRCAA from Mon.\, Mar. 9 to Mon.\, Mar. 30. \nPlease click here for an application. \nJurors for the show are Nancy Nelson-Brotz and Dani Klein. \nNancy Nelson-Brotz is an East Coast native who joins the AAC staff having been part of the arts family in Madison for years through her art education work at Rabbit Run Community Arts Association\, the Painesville Recreation Department\, Perry Library\, Madison Library\, Mentor Senior Center\, the Painesville Senior Center\, and Stella’s Art Gallery.  She earned a BA in Art from California University of Pennsylvania.    She creates artworks in oil pastels\, mosaics\, and needle felting.   She serves as the Visual Arts Director at the Ashtabula Arts Center and on the board and as a participating artist at Stella’s Art Gallery.   She is the administrator for The Paul and Norma Tikkanen Painting Prize as well as serving on it’s Board.  Nancy has won many regional awards for her work as well as has been published several times. \nDani Klein is a co-owner of Stella’s Art in Willoughby.  She earned a Master of Arts in Art Therapy from Ursuline College and is a registered art therapist.  Her primary medium is clay\, but she also works with acrylic and watercolors paints. \nThe Art Show is displayed from Apr. 2 – 29 at the Madison Public Library\, 6111 Middle Ridge Rd.\, Madison\, OH  44057.   Awards Reception is Wednesday\, April 8\, at 6:30 p.m. at the library. \nA virtual version of the show will be available after the show’s awards reception. \nThe show has been judged and the results are in. \nCONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE! \nStudents: \nBest of Show – Evangeline Darby for “Look at Me” \nFirst Place – Aubree Triskett for “Temporary Solace” \nSecond Place – Gunner Murphy for “Squid’s House” \nThird Place – Ashlyn Thompson for “Serenity” \nADULTS \nBest of Show – Ronald Carroll for “Chicken Flight” \nFirst Place Painting – Shavnna Chiacchiero for “Carolina Living” \nSecond Place Painting – Alive Mullins for “I am not a Trophy” \nThird Place Painting – Jennifer Kokal for “Ruddy Duck (Lil Red) \nFirst Place Drawing – Deanne Steele for “Roadside Chicory” \nSecond Place Drawing – C J Matviyak for “Mirabelle’s Kittens” \nThird Place Drawing – Alexa Titus for “Midnight Bloom” \nFirst Place Photography – Julie Cook for “Sunset Glow at Arches National Park” \nSecond Place Photography – Joan Pogalies for “Storm Over Great Lake Erie 2” \nThird Place Photography – Harry N.
